Ree Park Safari covers a 125‑hectare, rolling, naturally beautiful area of forest and lakes about 10 km from Ebeltoft.
Under various names over the past 18 years, the park has evolved from a flower garden, to a family park with petting animals, to today’s safari park—with a value‑driven focus on species in particular need of help.
As one of Denmark’s leading organizations in nature and animal conservation, we at Ree Park Safari feel a special responsibility.
For many years we’ve said it’s actually wrong to keep animals in captivity. When we choose to do it anyway, there are many good reasons behind it.
Ree Park Safari’s conservation work extends far beyond the safari park on Djursland. We believe the days when a zoo’s sole purpose was to display a selection of the world’s animals and plants are thankfully over.
Today, animal and plant species and natural habitats are at high risk of disappearing before our eyes, worldwide. Therefore, Ree Park Safari works on conservation not only in and around the safari park, but also out in truly wild nature—it just makes sense.
Before Herodesk, we used Outlook—but we never found the right formula. We are between three and seven staff members who answer guest inquiries, which range widely—from booking a confirmation celebration, questions about an annual pass, to job applications.
We often found that some inquiries fell through the cracks, so we investigated a better system that could handle them more effectively.
That’s a tough one! We especially love the notes feature and the macros, which we use many times daily. Herodesk is simple to use, and once we discovered these powerful tools, handling guest inquiries became significantly easier.
We now have a clear structure in our daily routine, which makes the work more manageable. It lightens our workload and improves communication with guests, and we experience shorter response times to inquiries.
